And there is never enough time to do what you love?
Great to meet you! I am Luisa Celis.
That was me back in 2018, after working for 10 years in residential and commercial real estate as a:
- Property manager
- Strata manager
- Business development manager
Though the result was a holistic view of the business, which allowed me to quickly establish rapport with people, successful real estate professionals pay a high personal price, that the public rarely sees.
Reinventing yourself when making costly mistakes is not an option is unnerving, to say the least, so along the way, I also graduated as a legal administrative assistant, but it was not for me.
In the end, though, I could not ignore any longer that I am a writer, a published author of three mildly well-received historical fiction novels —and of a first draft stuck in a drawer for three years. So, I took a good look around me and saw that my sons have beards and useful university degrees. No more excuses, then. It was time for me to find a way to merge my real estate experience with my writing career.
In 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University.
